Sara began her role on October 8th, 2013 joining 15 Irish organizations in the Seattle area to welcome Philip Grant, the new Consul General of Ireland based in San Francisco.

Sara explained, “I am delighted to be a part of such an important organization which highlights the needs of Irish immigrants.  Taking the opportunity to meet the Consul General and begin talks with local Irish organizations so early on in my role is a very positive start. Drawing on my time from living, working and studying in Ireland, I hope to bring my diverse range of experience to the table and very much look forward to advocating and supporting CIIC member organizations around the country.”

“Sara brings a wealth of program and nonprofit knowledge to our Coalition with her recent experiences working with organizations such as Jigsaw, the Galway Rape Crisis Center and the Irish Center for Human Rights (NUI Galway). Her most recent role at Youth Work Ireland, Galway gave Sara invaluable insight into the needs and multifaceted requirements of working closely with and reporting back to a volunteer Board of Directors as well as working with a diverse advisory group.  We are excited to have her on board and look forward to further advancement of the shared work and promotion of the Coalition”, stated Siobhan Dennehy, (Executive Director, EIIC) who serves the CIIC currently as President.
